Class of 2024's Kyla Krahn (Vermilion) and Sarah Hogue (Lloydminster) were awarded the 2024 President's Medals at convocation in recognition of her leadership both in and outside of the classroom.

Madeline Hayes (Vermilion) and Mariel Kate Macaya (Lloydminster) were awarded the Governor General's Medal for academic performance at convocation in recognition of achieving the highest GPAs on their campuses.

Recent graduate Emma March was born into the life of a power engineer. Her mother Ruthy went into labour with her while completing her Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) exam in 2004.

Tinisha Young has many titles. She is Lakeland's Indigenous Support Services manager, status through Opaskwayak Cree Nation, an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper, and a member of Lakeland's Class of 2018.

Lleyton Bates, Class of 2024, spent a memorable two months on practicum in Australia. He completed the rest of his bachelor of education through the University of Calgary right here at Lakeland.

Rustler update

The Rustlers ACAC home games are set! The soccer squads kicked into action at home on Sept. 14 while the women's hockey team hits their hometown ice on Oct. 11. Volleyball and basketball home openers are on Oct. 25-26. Check out the game schedule at gorustlers.ca.
