Charlene Bonnar, chair of university transfer and instructor, is the Gold Recipient of the Leadership Excellence Award for Faculty at the 2026 Colleges and Institutes Canada (CiCan) Awards of Excellence.

Alumna Jana Teefy, head biologist at the Beaverhill Bird Observatory, is part of an expanding network of scientists tracking the migratory habits of songbirds, as well as educating future "bird nerds."

Support and care

Alumna Tachina Paddy found more than job skills in Lakeland's pre-professional administration program. She found support after a decade away from the classroom, a network of classmates and instructors, and a new life's purpose at the Lloydminster Native Friendship Centre.

Raising the 5th generation

Aydon and Jessica Almberg met at Lakeland and now they're raising the next generation of ag leaders with their young family at Broken Arrow Ranch Quarter Horses.
