Lakeland College celebrated its 108th academic year with three convocation ceremonies, honouring 1,024 new members of the alumni family. Twenty-three of them were following in their family's footsteps, as second- or third-generation graduates.

Student awards
Each year, one student from each campus is awarded Lakeland's highest honour, the President's Medal, in recognition of their leadership both inside and out of the classroom. The Governor General’s Academic Medal is awarded to the student from each campus who achieves the highest GPA. This year's Vermilion campus recipient hasn't been announced yet, pending completion of practicums.
One member of Lakeland's alumni family is honoured each year with a Distinguished Alumni award, recognizing their contributions to their community, region or country. This year's recipient is Leroy Fontaine, Class of 2013.
Honorary degree
Each year, one member of the Lakeland community is chosen to receive an honorary degree in recognition of their contributions. This year, Vermilion's Doug Stewart received an honorary bachelor of agriculture technology.
